Today in Rip Payne

5 Oct

On this day in 1974, Rip Payne spent the evening photographing the Orange County High School’s alumni football game.  Unlike most of the alumni games I’ve seen, this one looks like a decently fair fight.  We’ve even got some good jumping leap shots in here!  (these images are in black and white below)

On this day in 1989, Rip Payne opted for a day-time photo op at the local Giant, where he took pictures of Pepsi Cola Company and Giant representatives meeting, with a lovely brunette model (don’t you just love ’80s hairstyles) there to hold their bottles for them and smile nicely (usually) behind their hands.  So even if you don’t care much for the usual meet-and-greet kind of situations, I promise you will get a kick out of these pictures.  (these images are the color prints below)

Today in Rip Payne

4 Oct

On this day in 1964, Rip Payne was headed over to the First Christian Church to photograph the congregation.

Remember what I said last time about the negatives being mirror images?  Check out the two photos on each side of the page to see this in action!
